As a reflection of our current needs, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as Manager, Contracting. The Manager, Contracting plays a vital role within our Payor Strategy Team. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President, Payor Strategy. They will be responsible for supporting department leadership in managing the contract portfolio for Aspen Dental.
Essential Functions
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with insurance company.
- Monitors financial performance of assigned agreements and proactively addresses issues or policy changes + communicates findings to both leadership + field.
- Streamline communication related to insurance to the field + other internal departments to ensure most efficient processes possible.
- Manage the implementation, execution, and communication of contracts throughout organization, including communication and fielding requests from Aspen Providers.
- Act as an expert resource on escalated contractual issues in addition to resolution of high-level compliance and customer-related concerns.
- Monitor contract performance and other provisions to assure compliance, identify problem areas, and resolve disputes.
- The Director engages with a wide variety of internal and external contracts.
- Providing senior management staff insight and knowledge to facilitate net revenue budgeting, long term planning, and the strategic planning of major programs.
- Manage communication to all the various providers and affiliates. Ensure resources and tools are utilized to share key contract information regarding operational terms, legal requirements and rates with operational and revenue cycle teams at the various provider entities.

Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 6-8 years’ experience related to healthcare contracting required. Direct exposure to contracting in prior experience required.
- Broad knowledge of healthcare insurance, provider billing and reimbursement, administration, systems, practices and principles, (i.e. Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Commercial.)
- Excellent verbal & written communications
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills a must.
- Detail oriented with a strong level of analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary: $90-110k with bonus opportunity
